Gotta be viewed as an upgrade for PSU. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but Allen seems like a meh hire after PSU pulls this off.

Yeah, but if Knowles was in the market, why not try. OSU fans love him. Ought to say everything you need to know about him, considering how whiny and emotional most of them have been the last 15 years.

That kinda proves my point. PSU was willing to pay the new guy way more than they would have paid the old guy. You don’t do that if it’s not an upgrade.

What years as a DC are you looking at for Allen and saying, “man, we nailed it.”
Manny Diaz has them rolling last season. Allen has had one good season. Wes had a couple of good seasons before the previous dc’s departure was felt.
