My wife and youngest are at the game up close and both are pretty disgusted with it all.
She's telling me the entire vibe of the place is edgy and angry.
It's all such a bad look for these proud universities.
Makes one grateful for coaches who recruit kids that have character, not kids who are merely characters.

These days, it seems being a lady is looked on as a liability, a sign of weakness.
How wrong they are.

Seems like this is the basic US culture. Seems like we have evolved over the last 20 years or so into this current state. Anything is acceptable nowadays.

I still hold out a lot of hope for our nation because so many kids are solid, humble, resilient.
But this here is ugly. And it shouldn't be glorified or held up as the ideal.
I'll be interested to see what the head coaches of both programs do in response to this. Especially Staley, whose player was the primary instigator.

Staley is a radical and an instigator most of the time so you probably will not get much out of her to calm things down. She loves to stir the pot. Just ask her wife.

things got chippy late in the game.
UofSC's #10 shoved LSU's #4 to the ground.
Benches cleared.
Some fans tried to jump the scorer's table and get in the fight.
One got taken out in bracelets.
Most of both teams ejected.
My wife/daughter were courtside and stayed for the award ceremony,
said Staley apologized for her team's behavior.

yeah, I remember that one. Guess who the other party was? They ran to the hill and taunted the tigers from the beginning and throughout the game. Not very smart to do that to a team that whipped your ### 63-17 the year before.

I have never heard of a USuC team or coach use the word character. They may have and I didn't read or hear about it but that seems to be something they are not very interested in and it shows.
