I don't see why it is wrong to care about any college sport. There are really only two that generally matter nationally, but I personally like college softball.

Softball is outperforming both college baseball and WNBA, and is competitive with MBBall in TV ratings. The softball championship had 2.1m viewers while baseball championship had 1.7m viewers.
Clemson-TN regional was the most watched regional at 770k and WNBA games avg 550k viewers. WCWS playoffs average was 980k viewers with multiple games at 1.3m and higher.
I think that would suggest great success. I didn't look at WBBall but I know it would be substantially less. The mens lacrosse championship games averaged 339k viewers and was up almost 31%. This is gaining traction as well.

Softball has been one of the best additions to the athletic program imo and I think it keeps getting bigger. Lot of fan support in the few years since it started and it’s just fun to watch.

Ladies hoops, or softball, or any other collegiate sport. It's just sad if that's all you've got. Softball is pretty cool... I enjoy watching those ladies play. They're real athletes and they're fiercely competitive. Very entertaining, much moreso than ladies hoops IMO.
