Unless there is a upset this weekend I think LSU will be number 1 next week. NCAA knows LSU playing for it all in New Orleans means a sellout. The final poll will be about money.

I’d love to see LSU & OSU lose. That would put us at #1 Clemson # 2 Georgia for 3 & 4 would Utah or Oklahoma as conference champions get a spot or would LSU & OSU get a spot.
That’s a tough choice for the committee....lol

Can we please remove the term boat raced

why can't we just say beaten badly. How about run out of the stadium, annihilated, humiliated, dragged through the mud, killed, maimed, slaughtered. Why does anyone think that the term boat raced is better than these other terms?

This! I always have wondered what it even meant. I know it has been associated with a beat down, but why the term? I guess somebody just thought that sounded cool, but why would anybody else think it?

Thanks for the history. Now it makes a little more sense, but I can think of better phrases. As I once heard said of coach Howard when asked why Clemson didn't have rowing. In his opinion there was not much point in having a sport where you sit on your butt and go backwards.
