Can Three ACC Teams Make The Playoffs

So if Clemson, Miami and SMU all go undefeated in ACC play and the rest of the year Is it possible that Miami and SMU make the championship game leaving a top 10 Clemson making the playoffs as an at large. Then a SMU team beats a number4 Miami sending SMU to the playoffs as a conference champion. And Miami makes it as an at large team who is also a top 10 team.

There isn't a scenario that 3 teams from the ACC would make the playoff. The playoff was expanded to get more SEC and BIG teams in.

I think the best the ACC can hope for is two teams in the playoff.

they would probably take SMU and Miami depending if it was close

Would be interesting because like you say going into that game you would have Miami ranked top 5 potentially and Clemson ranked top 10 and SMU would probably highly ranked as well with only the BYU loss. If Miami lost a close game to SMU then they would take 12-1 Miami over 11-1 Clemson due that our loss to UGA was ugly. If Miami were to get smoked by SMU then we probably would get the at large and Miami left out.
