1. Have our best season ever
2. Lose one of our best players to injury
3. Have our coach get a 6 year extension
4. Score 13 points in a half and have one of the worst performances in the NCAA tourney in quite some time (I know the final score got close)
5. Have some good guys leave (ok, maybe just Del Jones).

I’m genuinely shocked at how the last 2-3 weeks have unfolded. From being dark horse final 4 contender to having an abysmal performance to having a pretty ugly future at this point in time.

I might be overreacting rn as a lot of bad has happened in the last 2-3 weeks and maybe we can turn the ship around in the next 2-3 weeks… idk I just feel like I’ve been led astray.

Once we went to the portal, the portal way of life bit us.

You bring in one player and the camel gets his nose under the tent and starts talking benefits of the portal and how much money is available.

You bring in another player and the portal is a way of life and a solution for malcontent.

Now the camel is in the tent.

Players don’t have to go to the portal. The portal comes to them. Kids are recruited and distracted throughout the season it’s the new slime way of life that is “college” sports.

Playing time is key. If Zachary comes back Del Jones shares minutes with him and Dillon plus Zac Foster the 4 star combo guard that was No. 61 in the 247Sports rankings for the 2025 class.
