Cade seemed off a little last Saturday

Here is hoping he is at 100% on Saturday!! Does he have the arm strength for that very long ball? Or is the WRs just faster than he realizes and they need to sync up?

Probably a little of both.

As open as Wesco, Moore, Turner, and Williams have been at times it looks like he waits a step or two too long to throw.
Then they have to wait on the ball.

You can tell Stanford came in to win the game. They gave it their all; as evidenced by the multiple 4th down attempts.
Give the Stanford D some of the credit.
But, you are right and I see it the same way, his deep ball was not the best. Hoping that was a point of emphasis this week. FSU has speed enough to stay with our WR's; but still throw a ball that's out front and many CB's will panic and get a DPI on them. 15 yards for the good guys. Non-catchable pass and often you will see a no call even if there was interference.
I sure hope he's more accurate in this category moving forward, for sure.

He made those deep ball passes with precision in the prior two games.

He was just a little off. Look for a return to that precision this weekend.

His arm strength is more than enough when he steps into his deep throws vs. his old habit of throwing off this back foot. He is working on it but sometimes old habits creep back in, especially when he is under pressure. When he has time and focuses on his footwork, and steps into his throws, he has more than enough arm strength to lead his receivers on those deep balls, instead of making them wait for it.
And yes, sometimes he is waiting a hair too long to release it...

Good point about throwing off the back foot.
They were talking about that with Kirk Cousins last night and his recovery from the Achilles injury. He was very accurate last night despite not having perfect mechanics.

To bring its fastball every single week. Not a bad result given that we were a little “off”.

but there were plenty of dropped balls that would have made a big difference in the game and the stat line.

I think his tendency is when a reciever is so wide open

he would rather underthrow than overthrow. I get that idea but I would like to see him make the receiver run under it. Overthrow is an incomplete. Perfect pass is a touchdown. Underthrow is still likely complete or interference.

I'm gonna chalk it us to maybe pressing a bit b/c Stanford was doing a fairly good job bottling up our running game. Seemed like definitely took alot of deep shots. Refs were letting WRs & DBs play so know we missed out on some DPI calls.

Cade held the ball too long and wasn't decisive.
He still played a pretty decent game but that's what was different this time from the previous two games

Seemed like he was going for the home run ball on every play and those are always gonna be a harder pass to complete. Now he did leave some underneath completions on the field, in order to try to make a big play, and I think there are some coaching opportunities there, but it's nice for him to have time to throw and to have guys that can make the catch downfield so we def need to keep pushing it downfield.

Cade still hasn't proven to me he can be an effective deep ball thrower. That's not to denigrate him as a QB, he can still be a very good+ quarterback. His long throws tend to be very floaty (and as a result short) but that could be a footwork issue as others have mentioned. I still haven't seen the on a rope throws the top tier QB's consistently make. As long as he has enough arm to keep the defense honest that's all he needs really. Those floaters are going to bite him against elite competition though. Hopefully he is coached out of that.

His decisions are still too slow. Wesco and Moore are so wide open all the time. They are clear mismatch problems. Cade sees them too late or waits too long to throw it
