Cade is very polarizing

Obviously the experts see something in his mechanics and ability. Why hasn't it been obvious at any point this year? From #1 pick talk to late round pick projections.
We have to give CV a look. We simply have to. I've never seen a QB play more hesitant than CK2 in my 30 plus years. We have had some bad ones, but they didn't look scared like he does.
Tajh and Charlie looked scared at times but not to this degree. It's really down to coaching imo.

Second straight 5 star bust. We have serious evaluation issue with pretending crappy players are crappy. Cade is a terrible quarterback.

Bust or poor development by our coaching staff? Cade had offers from UGA, LSU, Texas and others. Clearly our coaching staff were not the only ones who thought he was a great talent. He came out and played great his first start in the ACCCG against UNC (just like DJ did in his first start @ ND). But the more time he has spent with our coaching staff, the worse he seems to have become...

No. He just never looked good to me. I dont think he played scared. He threw the ball confidently when allowed it was just bad.

Better thank big stinko but that’s not saying much. Problem is Dabo doesn’t go out and get a good backup. Most teams have at least 2 dogs

I think he is in his own head -- not to the degree that DJ was -- but he cannot just settle in and find a rhythm on the field. He looks rushed, erratic, herky-jerky.

So you think it is the playcalling? He is surrounded by blue-chip talent (including two 5* WRs), so what makes you think he'd excel with lesser players around him?
He was outplayed by King today.

If the other teams had Calvin "Megatron" Johnson for him to stare down 85% of the time before he throws to him while in triple coverage I'd tend to agree.

1. Did you notice how after King ran the ball, he would just get up & start working on the next play. Compare that to Cade. Cade typically yaps at the opposing players around him or he does the first down motion. He’s immature. Too much emotion.
2. Cade should run out of necessity. How many times has he tripped over his own feet this year? One time today, he was planning on running up the middle and just fell, untouched, to his knees.
3. Cade is not being utilized by the coaches properly. In all three games he has chosen to run when he has receivers wide open down field. This is either selfishness, lack of vision, or he has been instructed to run when he can. I believe it’s the latter. He should focus on his footwork & stay in the pocket. We have good receivers that get open. He just needs to see them.
4. He is NOT elite.

Pressure dies amazing things to humans. Many folks can perform when there is nothing on the line, but when the pressure mounts it changes them.
I think that's it. He's great in practice etc but the pressure then shuts him down. One of my kids was like this in competitive rock climbing. Could climb anything anywhere, but put a clock an audience on her and it shut her down.
