You knew it was going to be a bad day offensively when Cade threw the ball at the feet of Mafah on the very 1st play. Clemson took the ball first to run that play. How many times you think they practiced that play in preparation for that opportunity? And Cade throws it to the ground. Could have gained momentum from the outset. I hope he does better vs App, or I would not hesitate to bring in Vizzina. That being said, Mafah needs 25 carries a game.

The offense needs more than 54 plays. Tiger O-line should be able to push Appy State off the ball and Mafah should be able to run all day. If the offense can score more than 14 points, then they should win. I think Appy State's only real chance is open up the playbook and go for broke. Something WE should have done against Georgia.

I knew he was in trouble after that first pass too. It may not have gotten a first down, but it would have been a positive play for sure.

Mafah is pretty good, but Clemson is going to need a speedster against quality teams. His longest run was 9 yards on Saturday. We'll see if he can handle the bulk of the carries all season and stay healthy. He should be able to against acc teams.

Pretty sure Georgia had more players get hurt vs Clemson than vice versa. Players can get hurt against just about any level of competition. The only surefire way to reduce injuries to your key players is to blow teams out and get them out of the game early, and we aren't going to be doing that this year with our offense.

If he hit Brown, who was also wide open, it would've gone for almost a guaranteed 12-15 yards. But he took the check down and threw it to the 28 yard line instead.

I saw that as well. Cade just doesn't see the field as well as he should at this point in his career.
