I hope he can use this for motivation. They'll no doubt be a lot of speculation until he proves he can get it done. This past season it seemed like we used a lot of excuses. Even Dabo in recounting the season as to how many sacks were on him, how many ints were on him vs receivers, oline etc. Plus, learning new offense... yada yada.
But enough was on Cade. A receiver being wide open and Cade not reading it is All on Cade. This season he should have no excuses. We'll have better receivers, and a better oline.
Time to get back to games we score at will. Get, and maintain 3, 4 TD leads. Then we'll know soon whether he's got that IT factor and if we'll be a playoff contender.

We all saw the sheer amount of disastrous decisions that Cade made last year. Take that pick 6 he threw against Charleston Southern, as an example.
He has good enough arm talent and his accuracy is actually impressive. But he was so bad with his pocket awareness and his ability to read defenses post-snap.
He said that this team can go undefeated. If those are his expectations, we should expect him to be great his year.

The Georgia game is a huge game as it always is and our offense and Cade have to show improvement and then get better each week.

I'm worried about what that game could do to his confidence.

I'm worried about what that game could do to his confidence. Agreed.
This might be way off base, but winning 10-7 would be nice but not great for his confidence. However, would losing 35-31 better prepare him for the rest of the season?

I think his confidence is entirely predicated on his performance, not the team overall. If he plays really bad, I think it could be detrimental for him.

Hope it doesn’t end up like the last Garrett Riley coached offense that played Georgia. 👍🏿🐅

IF, Cade cannot handle the starting QB position can Vizzina step in and lead this team?

Why? He was a highly ranked recruit. Not every successful Qb is highly ranked coming out of high school or college. See Brock Purdy. Homer Jordan wasn’t an elite Qb. Mac Jones wasn’t. They won a championship though!

Since he could not beat out Helms or Tyson last year, I seriously doubt Vizzina will make a significant jump in one year to be ready to be the full-time starter.

to rank a QB in the top 25 that finished 69th in overall QBR last season. Granted, I believe he is better than that. He had no one to throw to and no time to find them. I also believe he has the tools to be great. This is the put up or shut up year.

We will see how dedicated he is in the next several months.
If he can make all the throws ( it appears he can ) then like DJ , it's recognition of defenses.
What to look for. Extra time after practice or in his available spare time being in the film room studying. If he has created any type friendship with Trevor Lawrence he could get on the phone and I'm sure , being who Trevor is he wouldn't hesitate to help out.
I think he'll be fine and I'll looking forward to it.

I see we will have the buffalo hype train again this year Shedur Sanders at number 2. That might be the worst take ive heard in a while.

Because he's not...
I dunno what else people need to see from this dude...He's not a good QB...He has no clue how to read a defense, has zero poise, and no feel for game in pocket.

I've been going back through the games from last year, and I don't see a Top 25 QB. The potential is there, but he still struggles with his reads and progressions. He also makes some really bad decisions with the football.
