It looked like a little of both. I know BV will put it all on him but I want an interview with Jayron and TJ. A real heart to heart.

is it the play calling or safties fault---this game is not the first time we've screwed up on
pass plays,i think it might go a little deeper in that when we are in certain pass coverages it's like the defensive backs have the deer in the headlight look,what do i do now!!!
would light other opinions,that is just my thoughts!!

They have no coverage skills and we play man to man and close to the line and blitz alot. We try to put it on the offense and go to TFLs and Sacks and it backfires into big plays. I love BV style but it has hurt us in some game and had helped in others.

I wasn't calling BV a band director, I was referring to the actual band director. But I'm laughing my #### off anyway. Love BV.

An opportunity to improve our defense next year may be to simplify defensive calls and get them in faster. Simplify may include a greater use of a base defense where safeties are used more traditionally.
This may lead to more confident and faster play by the secondary because they would know their assignments before the snap count.
I would not indicate a radical departure in style or aggressiveness - just another tool when the opponent goes to HUNH.

I agree! We need to keep our style but also keep help over the top. I believe BV will find the happy medium.
