He is one of, if not the only one, who can say he made (for him personally) a good decision by going there instead of Clemson. But, I don't think he really had that choice. We did not have a scholarship for him as a wide receiver, and told him so.

Exactly. Edwards was ours if we wanted him. As you mentioned, we were full at WR. We offered to let him grow into a TE.

If Burch goes to SCar, then depth chart has to be one of the primary factors. They’re probably also selling him on Muschamp being a defensive coach. Probably not selling him on Muschamp only being his coach for one year.

If I am this kids parents I would be really mad that his HS coach was pushing to his alma mater. It is a decision between this kid and his family. I would tell the HS coach to mind his own business. This is a family thing and he ain’t family.
To the Burch family prayer for success on and off the field for your son no matter where he decides to play.
