I don't know what the problems are off the field, but on the field I can summarize quickly.
Every position is playing far below expectations except the punter, placekicker and long snapper.
It is amazing how widespread the "team effort of suck" is.

Did I see their roster correctly? Other than DJ they have 4 freshmen and a sophomore at QB?? Why have 4 freshmen?

Players see a guy like DJU show up, stink it up in practice and games, but still collect millions in NIL money while they get nothing but a scholarship and they understandably become disillusioned with the program and start phoning it in. Money can ruin relationships pretty quickly.

Both out of their depth and using portal poorly to try to keep up with the Jones
Portal effectiveness might be a great topic for a college research project. Not a lot of history available just yet, but a fascinating topic.
