with Simpson, Carter, Mukuba, and Greene in some configuration is insane. Between development and getting healthy. Getting those folks on the field at the same time will be huge. Speed, power, athleticism more broadly speaking. It will be an incredible combination.

They say defense wins championships and we should have one of the best defenses we’ve ever had. Praying they’ll carry us this season to another playoff and Title game. The amount of talent we lose after this season is tremendous!

Last year proved that isn't true. Championship caliber defense and a terrible offense equals a meaningless bowl game, not the playoffs.

We had a lot of injuries on the DL and at LB last year. If they had stayed healthy good chance we would have beaten both NC ST and Pitt.

I would respectfully say that this year’s LBs will be better than any group since the late 80s. Expect the middle of the field to be locked down by some fast, ball hawking dudes.
If we can grow the running game that developed over the last quarter of the ‘21 season we’ll have a good shot at all the marbles.

Environment. NIL, transfer portal, etc. We need to keep doing things the right way and see what happens. I see Clemson as the best alternative for those not just chasing $$$

Defense does win championships but you have to keep them fresh. They can’t be on the field the majority of the game. Don’t have to score every drive just at least get a first down. Had way to many 3 and outs last year.

Agreed. A 3 and out offense can make a great defense look average. Get the running game going and let the defense rest. Just be a average offense and this defense can carry Clemson to the playoffs.
