Bottom line

Jack Leggett is gone but i will never understand, why, some on Tigernet, can't see why some of us,who were around when Jack came here, can't regret what happened too him. Jack was a great coach and i will back the next one as much as i backed him.The posts on here that beat on the man are uncalled for.I have posted that i hated too see Jack go but i won't post any more comments about this Clemson legacy. What must present and future coaches think about the way his tenure was handled.Good luck Jack, some of us will miss you.

regret what happened to him. Leggett was a great coach and by all accounts a good guy. What happened was unfortunate. That doesn't mean that Clemson baseball didn't need a change, because it did; and that doesn't mean that it wasn't time for Jack to move on, because it was. Frustration with the baseball program? Absolutely. Frustration with Jack? Yeah, some of that too. Hatred, anger, and disdain? Very little of that. Sorry that it came to this? Absolutely. I think the vast majority of Clemson fans feel that way.
I can't for the life of me understand why some people can't understand that.

understand it, but my intent was to address your post directly. I will try again.
You wrote:

The first line of my response was:
I think there are very few (relatively speaking) who don't regret what happened to him.
I don't know what part of that is unclear or how it could possibly be any more relevant to your post.
Then you wrote:
The posts on here that beat on the man are uncalled for.
I wrote:

Again, directly in response to your comment and totally relevant.
Please forgive me if I misunderstood your post, but I thought the gist of it was that you supported Jack, hated to see him go, and didn't like the way people on here were bashing him. In my response, I was just trying to point out that most Clemson fans did not bash or hate Jack, hated to see him go out this way, but still realized it was time for a change; and those who were bashing him were a loud but still small minority.
No hard feelings, even if you called me a pea brain.

People will think the same thing about how Jack was handled as they did with Bowden at FSU, and JoePa at Penn State. It's their cross to bear...the rest will have moved on. It takes two to tango...it's very seldom one sided and certainly not in this instance.
