The really ironic part of that is that they passed over Malik Willis - who then transferred to Liberty - in favor of Nix...which would be more than a bit like benching Deshaun Watson in favor of Jake Bentley.

No, really. Auburn did that.

So stuff could always be worse. We could be Auburn...and know we had a first-round NFL QB who we did not play, in favor of an alum who could not play...and who then bailed on us anyhow. (Cue the Alanis Morissette now, please, Siri.)

Sure, Willis racked up yards against much inferior opponents but look at how he played against his Ole Miss, Cuse, and Louisiana.

He looks like Watson because he is literally playing in a different league than Nix.

He still projects really, really high...and he has nothing like the supporting cast Deshaun Watson did. Willis can absolutely play.
