“Great” seems overused, but Wake Forest has played in one final four and Billy Packer was the guard who drove that team. He was great.

Billy and Jim Nance made a great team while doing the NCAA hoop tournament. Guys try to be too flashy nowadays. Billy just told it like he saw it. RIP.

Packer is a legendary figure in the world of college basketball. He was easily one of the best ever basketball announcers. I tip my hat to his greatness and celebrate his rich, full and useful life. Thanks be to God for a good man.
My God comfort the entire Packer Family.
