but by and large and to a great extent, he is an average QB with an inconsistent arm who has a tendency to hold the ball too long and is slow to read and react to defenses. I don't think anyone has ever questioned his desire, character or integrity.

He either can't read the playbook or he can't think with things around him are moving. Any play with an option brings this on. Either a pass play or an RPO, he's always going to make the decision before the count.
The justification for your observation is that sometimes DJ guesses correctly. When that happens twice or three times in a row fans began to think he's turned a corner. However, he will always be DJing it up no matter where he plays.
He might get drafted but he will never make it past the scout team.

I don’t think anyone in Clemson questioned his son’s heart or character. Dabo gave him 2 full seasons to develop and improve. FSU may not give him half of one. Different circumstances but still.

He's had a rocky football career, but if he's really taking in $3 million a year as reported here, let's not feel too sorry for him. Provided his old man doesn't fleece him, and he finds a financial advisor with half a brain, DJ should be fixed for life. He seems like a good person, so he will thrive in some kind of business.

Apparently Big Dave is known as Uncle Dave as well and he acts as an Agent for NiL deals. One of the shows on XM was talking about him doing that for several Polynesian players and specifically Jaydan Miavia who left UNLV for Southern Cal.

I’m sure he is a good kid- though not really a kid anymore- and I’m sure he has impeccable character. That’s probably why Dabo gave him so much time to come around. From what I hear, his work ethic is outstanding as well. He just never produced, and I hate that for him.

It warms my heart to see FSU riding the DJU depravity his. Couldn’t happen to a better guy than Norvell.
I’ll never forget seeing our team being bussed out of their stadium because that squeaky voiced clown of a coach was to scared to play in 20’
