Best Regional/Super Regional Game we’ve hosted?

Obviously the best game in recent history was beating Alabama to go to Omaha back in 2010 or 2011 not sure. That was a
But one I enjoyed was when we played the elimination game versus Vanderbilt in 2017. It started late and ran very late for some reason I can’t remember. We won it 9-0. Tyler Jackson pitched a 2-hit shutout, and we got the chance to move to super regional the next day. They had to throw around hot dogs for free to everybody. Great game.

What you said. That Tyler Jackson pitching performance was amazing. Don’t know if we will ever have a set midweek starter for the entire season that wins every game like we did with him. Usually guys like that move into the weekend but our weekend was set the whole year lol

Shoot man we’re supposed to have pitchers like that for midweek roles. For some weird reason we seem to recruit well down here with hitting, but not as good with pitching. I know we got Tristan Smith who was very highly rated, but I wonder if Bakich is the guy to improve in that area of recruiting. It looks like (knocking on wood) Bakich has found success in whatever he and Belanger are doing.

Was one of the best games I've ever seen. But it was the first game on the series. Not the last game

You're right. I was thinking that was the last game but I believe that was on a Friday. Still the best Clemson game I have ever seen.

I remember that game, but Kyle Parker hit the go-head 2 RBI single in the bottom of the 8th. Don’t know about Chris Epps walk-off.

“Epps hit a team leading .526 (10-for-19) in the regional with seven runs scored, two homers, six RBIs and a .565. In his last three games, with Clemson facing elimination, Epps was 8-for-12 with six runs and five RBIs.“
From your article. I think Cam Cannarella may be the first OF we’ve had that was that similar to Chris Epps. Just so much natural instinct and ability used in his game. Lots of speed, and gets on base a lot. I believe he was a lefty too.
