For me it was Chris Denson. Wasn't quite sure what to think when we signed him away from the mini coots of Conway, but he impressed. Made good decisions, showed some speed, has a really quick release.

Brayden Jacobs was a standout for me.

He's had the kitchen sink thrown at him this spring with Tristan Leigh's injury, and Saturday's performance was a culmination of what's been an incredibly positive start to his career.

Several players told me before the game on Saturday that he's been a standout in practice, and he more than held up against TJ Parker, Will Heldt, and others.

Big-time depth at LT heading into this fall.

No, that's Leigh's spot pending any injury.

Removing any portal wackiness, you're set at tackle for the next three-four years.

Jacobs has the makings of an NFL-caliber tackle. That may be bold for someone who's been on campus for a few months, but Clemson really nailed it with landing him.

I'll echo a few different posters here already.

Chris Denson looked smooth with the ball. His throws were effortless and with finesse. I wish the coaches let him play live, to see what he could really do with his feet.

Marcus Dixon was feasting at end. He was constantly making plays in the backfield.

Gideon Davidson was absolutely stymied in the backfield, but made several amazing catches. One from the aforementioned Denson that may be shades of futures to come.

Jeremiah Alexander is going to be a really good off-ball LB for us. He actually stood Keith Adams Jr. up when they met at the hole.

Fletcher Cothran looked really good at LB.

There was a few massive hits in the spring game, but I can't remember who they were from.
