some pics of their really neat & large football stadium on campus.
Presently their Athletic Dept has been sending out a teaser to Buckeye Fans concerning some minor changes to the current field graphic designs b/4 their opener against Notre Dame.
Here’s 2 pics of the stadium plus one showing the many varied playing field design patterns used in past years.
PS: Know that even though I’m a Clemson grad & been a super supportive fan of the Clemson Tigers since 1958, I appreciate many other college football schools, campuses, traditions & history.
Concerning the Buckeyes I have their band as being my favorite “precision” marching band (after Tiger Band) and the Michigan Fight Song “Hail To The Victor” as my #1 college “Spirit” song (after Clemson’s Tiger Rag).
Always smart to be well-rounded, they say!

I was at the Horseshoe for a wedding back in April of 2016. Didn't see any football of course, but did get to watch some of a women's Lacrosse game between the Bucknuts and Notre Dame. My wife's, who is a Buckeye grad, best friend got married in the actual stadium. The ceremony was performed in that half circle area behind the goal post and the large flag pole in the "Ohio State" end zone. The field itself was the back drop. It was a pretty neat experience. The groom and groomsmen all wore matching red and gray Jim Tressel type sweater vests under their tuxes. After the ceremony, but before the reception, we had the chance to tour the stadium and press box area. I've been going to Tiger games on a consistent basis for over 41 years now and never had the opportunity to do that in the Valley, so I enjoyed that. It is a huge stadium, but parts of it look very old. Not as impressive as I imagined it to be, but I can see it being a great game day experience. Some of the Bucknut fans were good. Others were kinda arrogant a**holes. They might have had a chip on their shoulders because I let them know I was a proud Clemson grad and season ticket holder. That was back before they had beaten us and were salty about that. It was the only other stadium other than Death Valley that I had ever spent any meaningful time, so I was thankful for the experience. Even though my wife is an Ohio native and Ohio State grad, she has been to more Clemson games in the 7 years that we have been together than the 4 while she was a Bucknut undergrad. She loves our passion, hospitality, and game day atmosphere. Clemson only comes in #2 in her heart when we both play each other. Luckily, that's only happened 3 times since we have been together, so that is few and far between.

Oh..you joined up in 2005, me 2009, so how have you been able to be so discreet in posting and I’ve run my mouth (actually finger) so much. LOL

Bill, my TNet handle is a combination of my Fraternity at Clemson and my name. Pontiac is more or less just a crossroads in northeast Columbia going out towards Elgin. The local high school here is Spring Valley. I'm not logged into TNet very much, mainly just lurk. I got off of all social media years ago so my big mouth won't get me in trouble! There have been many times on here I've knee-jerk reactions to post something, but not being signed in much gives me a moments pause to see if I really want to open my pie hole and potentially say something that will come back to bite me.

As a fan, I don't like the oval end stadiums because if you're sitting in the endzone you're so far from the field...Especially the LA Coliseum.

I agree DMD, the ovals tend to put you further away from the field. End zone seats can be bad enough depending on where you are sitting without the further distortion. The oval shaped stadiums remind me of how a lot of High School stadiums look with the tracks around them. My "Home" stadium that I played on back in High School was shared by the 2 other schools in town so it was generic and had a wide track going around it. I never was a fan of all that space between the sidelines and the stands.

My Brother In-Lw was the assistant soccer coach there while he was working on his PhD. He took us on a tour inside the stadium. It is impressive, but very cold. As in it was VERY COLD and WINDY that day. I've been to Columbus several times and it's always been too cold and windy for me.
