One year over College Ave a banner stretched across the road that claimed Barbara Lewis would be appearing in the dining hall. It was yet another night where memories were made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKZ7o7EXHFM

K-pop is Korean pop music. It's always mentioned in the media nowadays, but I know nothing about it. I was playing around about the genre. I like your music. Songs while I was at Clemson would be songs by REM, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, James Addiction, then of course everyone always likes classic rock. Some people were into the Dead and Widespread. I think Phish maybe as well. I liked everything back then aside from hip-hop. I like all kinds of music though, aside from never getting into hip hop.

Here's an example of why I gave up a career as a professional musician - and have been thankful ever since. Take a look at what she became:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnSKxIS0U1g
After an on and off fling with music and no conviction one way or the other, I made my decision while walking down 5th Ave in New York around midnight one night and ran across a fellow playing tenor saxophone (what I played) on the corner of 5th and 57th Street. I stopped to listen and realized I was listening to one of the best I'd ever heard. People were walking by and throwing loose change in his horn case on the sidewalk, so I asked him to play a song for me. He did and it was the best I'd ever heard it played.
When he finished, I said "OK, what's the deal here? I know you don't belong on this street corner playing for pocket change. You are obviously a professional - who have you played with?"
His answer was "Isaac Hayes".
I asked "Why are you on this corner playing for change?"
His answwer was "The drugs, man - the drugs."
I was so shocked I reached in my wallet and pulled out a lot of cash, placed it in his case and walked away. All I could think of was "There but for the grace of God go I"
I didn't pick up a saxophone again for 30 years. When I did, I played with The O'Kaysions at my daughter's wedding and after that night have never played again:
