So as bad as a lot y’all think we might be, we’re ranked #33 in RPI. Yeah 33rd with 10 losses.
I think this just reflects what the voters think of our roster talent and potential. But I am pretty confused being that high given we haven’t won a conference series yet. Also being well above both GT and Duke.
Not as bad as most think it’s going I guess. We’re in a prime position to get a host regional if we really flip the switch.

Would be massive to win this upcoming series against Wake. Not only for resume but for confidence. Not asking for a sweep here, just trying to take two out of three.

I believe it’s tv broadcast driven. Tomorrow’s game is actually on ACCN instead of just streaming.

Wish we had Ammons. But my guess is Gordon on Thursday, Grace Friday, and your guess is best for Saturday.
Wake’s pitching is what makes them #2 right now. It’ll be interesting to see how aggressive we are at the plate. Either trying to get their starters to throw a lot and get them out early, or just swing.

no voting in rpi. It's a pretty simple mathematical formula. Was the predominant formula for basketball before NET. Still a better indicator of who they actually select than NET and dramatically better at predicting performance than NET (most of the Elite Eight were much higher in rpi than NET). We have the 7th overall sos and 5th out of conference sos, which is why we can have a 33 rpi (now 31 per live rpi) with 10 losses. Basically need to get into the ACC top 10 and we'll have a good shot at the post season.

Imagine how high we'd be if our bullpen held the leads against Tech, the Coots, and Duke.

We had an RPI of 39 last year which would ordinary be good enough. But 12th place in the ACC was just too low.

Come baseball selection time, the NCAA will decide

That the metrics don’t matter and 30-25 with a top 30 RPI and a 10th place finish will be enough to exclude us while letting another big 10 team in

If Baseball was ranked using Net algorithm we would be top 25 based on being 50% of UofSC's losses!
