Charlie's day will surely come soon. But ONLY player in NCAA history to ever throw for 20 TD's and hit 20 HR's in the same calendar sports year is an unbelievable accomplishment that cannot be denied.

Priester was not already in the Clemson HOF!?

The one knock on Priester was that he wasn't a highlight reel type of back. He didn't quite have that top end speed and quickness to take it to the house with regularity. The teams around him were also not very good. But nobody was ever better at consistently getting positive gains on every play than him. He was one tough cookie and glad to see him get in.

I imagine there is a minimum time frame before you are eligible to get in? Then after that you are going to be up against some players that have undeniable All-American type accomplishments that will get in before you. So sometimes it takes a while. But it was only a matter of time for him.
