Hot Rod visiting my son

Just want to let Tiger Nation know the caliber of players that we have on our team. Two weeks ago Rod McDowell took the time out of his very busy schedule to visit my son, Hunter Brogdon at his school. I contacted Rod via Facebook after learning about his struggles with a very similar lower leg deformity as a child that my son suffers from. Hunter is THE biggest Clemson fan I know (that says a lot b/c I truly bleed orange myself). His dream is to play football for Clemson. However, he became discouraged after learning that he will have to have corrective surgery this summer. Both bones in his lower left leg will be surgically broken, rotated outward, and pinned back in place. After Roderick's visit, his dream became a reality again. As a mother, this is the best gift anyone could ever give my child! Thank you Roderick, and your beautiful mother Roxanne, for all your support and encouragement! You'll never realize the impact you made!

I'm sure you have shared this in another way with Rod and his Mom. If you haven't please do. These young men are great representatives of our university and it is nice to let them know we appreciate for things other than their sport

That would be so awesome! Hunter would feel so special to receive cards from fellow Tiger's! His surgery is on June 13tg at Palmetto Richland Children's Hospital. Won't know his room number until the day of the surgery, but I'll be sure to post it! Thanks so much for everyone's prayers and kind words. Y'all are an awesome group of people. But then again, we're Tiger's, I never expected less!!

Great story. That is exactly what this world needs ... more young men like Rod McDowell. What an example for Hunter ... Every parent's dream is for their child to emulate such postive role models.
My prayers are with Hunter and your family as you deal with this ... All I can say is WOW! Today is not as grim as I sometimes think when I see stories like this on McDowell.

My grandson who threw out the first pitch at the Clemson/Virgina baseball game a few Sunday's ago will undergo the same surgery late this summer. He has CP and this is suppose to correct a lot of things in his tendons and hamstring. Hope you son does well, Sam, my grandson, will be having it done at Srinners.
