I've gone to the source of sources on this, and Monte Lee to Clemson is not a done deal. Will it happen? I think so. But my good buddy Aaron Brenner down at the Charleston Post and Courier is talking - apparently - to the same Charleston and Clemson people I am and we are hearing it's not final and that an official offer hasn't been made. This means we might not hear something tomorrow and it might be Thursday before something comes down.....I've tried to shoot it to you straight in the past on things like this, and I don't follow the crowd and therefore don't report fake torn ACL's and recruits going to other places on visits, etc, etc. My guess is the fact that you haven't heard anything official from Clemson tells you all you need to know.
As soon as I get the confirmation that something is done I will be on here as fast as I can.

Hope you know i am not questioning anything you said. great work. just saying no deal is final til the background check is done. if you will remember we all knew chad and brent were tigers way before it was official. it is just a silly part of the process clemson puts us through. cant really figure out why we do it and others dont.

o'leary fooged on his resume. he's a dang good coach and has a mid-major (ucf) to the point that they can upset some power-5 teams (yes, i'm talking about usuc this year !). i am glad he is not at n.d., what, with the talent that that school can still bring in, i would be a tad worried about our upcoming game against them there fightin' irish..

Yea I know of that slimeball of chit, and you can bet all you own that he is holding his nuts tighter than anyone that the deal for Lee falls through!!! And he is hoping we will have to except who ever we can get away from the group of good top BB coaches. He does not want Lee at Clemson, and I'm 100% positive of that....

Thanks for the update. You need to get your buddy Aaron a new job. I subscribe to the Post and Courier and it is next to The State for biased sports reporting. Sapakoff is the pits and a big time SEC homer. I seldom read the sports section. Really, really biased.

Post and Courier is a Gamecocks home-team paper, plain and simple. They don't even try to be balanced anymore. Only non-Columbia paper that I've seen more biased is the Florence Morning Misprint, I mean News. They are aggressively, unashamedly pro-Gamecocks to the point of it being embarrasing to whatever journalistic integrity they might pretend to hold.

In a sense, because of what you do, you effectively represent both Clemson and it's fan base when you are in public. You're well known, a public figure and one who covers Clemson Athletics exclusively. Although your journalistic integrity is unquestioned, there has been a problem.
One would reasonably expect that a person in your position and with your seasoned journalistic experience would have been a lot more motivated when you caught that foul ball at the Regional. You didn't "lay out", "run and jump" or dive over the table which would have been waaay cooler.
Instead, you just sat on your #### and waited for the ball to come to you. We were depressed. That was not the caliber of catch i would expect from someone with your position and experience.
We'd appreciate it if you would work on that during the off-season.
