they did an interesting thing there when they remodeled. Each main gate is named for a famous coach and has his statue there. Yes sadly even Holtz got a statue and gate. We took pics of all but Holtz. I drew the line there. It was a nice touch and worked well for them. I also saw their schedule which is a killer - Okla, Standford, Southern Cal, Miami

I'm not a fan either but it is a beautiful campus and a good school. and as you say the tradition is impressive

Did you hear anything at South Bend about the possible deal with the Orange Bowl?

Seems like it should have been a slam dunk! But, it now
has been several weeks. Wonder if the ACC is making some
other type of offers to the Irish?

I doubt your average ND fan even knows there is an ACC. They are pretty stuck on themselves.

I made a point of not asking anyone there about it figuring the folks I would run into know about as much as me about th situation - which is nothing
