ACC is indeed weak

Wrong board

First off, none of it matters.

The ACC is Weak.

Clemson beat Kentucky and Duke beat Auburn.

But if you want to check the ACC SEC challenge record this year, be my guest.

And just look at how the bottom half of this conference is. It’s hard to look at.

Huge part of this is because ACC basketball is going through major transition.

All of the legendary coaches are all gone. It’s new faces. Leonard Hamilton is even leaving after the season.

Which has been instrumental in not “allowing” Brad to rise Clemson up, but it “opened some doors”.

Those coaches at their best is what Brad couldn’t get through. And they are gone.

Hallelujah anyways

It’s now Brad’s time to become those coaches. In a way.

To clarify, I realize Brad has shown that it’s a more profound climb that we’ve made than just within the ACC.

If the recruiting picks up with highly highly ranked players, look out.

I don't have SEC syndrome. I don't take pride in the fellow conference members successes, but instead I relish in their downfalls.

The strength of a conference should not be the measure of how well Clemson is playing basketball.
That is why the net rating is ridiculous, it does not measure the quality of play but instead the quality of scheduled.
Clemson Men’s basketball is playing as good as any team in the nation right now.
Nerd’s with numbers cannot measure effort,
skill and determination!

Very old Clemson fan checking in here with what was once the most typical Clemson fan view of the other teams in the ACC.

Our opponents have always been our rivals. Essentially none us wanted to see our rivals win anything.
We hated South Caroline, North Carolina, State, Duke, Virginia, Maryland and so forth with a passion. We loved beating those teams and certainly never considered or counted on them to improve how others looked at or thought about Tigers. And the fans of those teams did not like, support, or wish anything good happened to Clemson. I do not recall feeling good when SC, NC, NCSU, Duke or Maryland was good in basketball.

BTW, I find it hard to believe true Auburn fans want Bama to be good in football or to see Georgia as anything but scum east of the border. LSU nor Tennessee fans like Bama, do they?

Ohio State fans want Michigan to lose every game and vice versa.

I think the conference love and affection has largely been driven by fans of bad teams or no teams who who want to bask in someone else's success.

In the 1960s not many people in America thought anything at all about Clemson. Our Natty in 1981 turned some heads. I have zero recall of UNC or SC feeling good when Clemson was good. And I do not care much at all what no thing fans in Texas or writers from anywhere think about the ACC. 95% of America including the sports writes know that Clemson has won more games, more conference titles and More Nattys in football than Texas. That is OK with me. I support my team, the Clemson Tigers and I love our record under Dabo vs the SEC, The Big 10, the ACC, ND and on the biggest stages. Like having a lifetime record that is good vs TOSU, ND, Oklahoma and so forth.

I like us. I do not understand or appreciate the view of other Clemson fans that the world would be a better place if our Tigers were different from who we are and for that matter where we are conference wise. I think the games are played for glory not $$.

Go Tigers!!

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Wondering why you seem to be stuck on this topic? What is the goal or what are you trying to communicate? Pretty sure everyone understands the league has been down overall for the past few years. Luckily our team has proven they can hang with anyone, so it has little impact on us.

If you paid attention to recruiting, you would see that the 24 and 25 recruiting classes are in fact rated higher than the norm for us as has the portal recruiting the last couple of years. So your look out comment has already happened. Welcome to 2024.

As long as we keep winning, that is just fine. We will know how good we are if we win the 1st game in the ACC Tournament and can get revenge against Louisville in the semis, we know ew belong.
