Argument Among Defensive Players?
Nov 28, 2022, 11:58 AM
|
|
During the broadcast after one of the defense bust plays, I am sure I heard the announcer say that there was an argument amoung the defensive players that had to be broken up by the coaches. Maybe I misheard it, but my wife says he heard it also....and I have seen nothing in any posts, etc on this. Anyone hear this or understand what occurred?

Heard someone mention it but I’m behind their bench and do like to watch what is going on on the sidelines and I did not notice anything.

I think that the CBs were taking calls from Dabo at the end

I read their lips and watched Dabo looked right at them talking. They never looked at the assistants during the last drives in the West Endzone Red Zone.
Bryan Breese also came over to the medical tent for a non-injury [maybe in the 3rd] (no one was there except for him and a group of kickers and special teams specialist) . A coaching staff member ran over and brought Breese back to the East End Zone collection of players. The ST specialist were also told to get back to the team.
KJ Henry did not interact with anyone on the sideline during this time too. I kept seeing him come off the field to an isolated spot and then go back onto the field to pump people up.
Moreover, Cade Klubnik did not scurry to the offensive huddles.
There was a lot of bad chemistry behavior that I had not seen before

David briefly touched on this in his live video with Q&A. His understanding was it wasn't anything special. Bickering between teammates that happens when someone repeatedly makes mistakes in coverage. It's a physical, emotional game. Guys get heated all the time.

Thanks to those of you who choose to provide thoughtful input - it is understandable that there would be frustrated players on both sides offense and defense. There is enough comments - some valid and some cruel regarding DJ. What does stand out - Our coaches are responsible for the recruitment, development and adjustments - and there doe appear to be serious shortcomings in one if not all 3 of these responsibilities. - On field leadership is missing - on offense - its generally the quarterback, but I don't really see it. On defense - I don't really see it either.
For those of you what chose to make comments on my typo of he/she - that is disappointing for several reasons.

I have been under the impression that Barrett Carter is the leader of the defense....
KJ Henry has been a pretty vocal leader as well.

I heard people discuss it --- exactly how you said it went down-- but didn't know who the players were.

According to my friend who was sitting directly behind the D-line bench there was definitely bickering going on between the D-line and D-backs.
