Seriously. This was one of our best seasons in years and have been improving under Dabo. Yeah I don't like to lose this way but geez man. We had a very good season. Dabo is the reason for our success. All you Sunday morning quarter backs couldn't do better.

We will be no better in the Big 12. The travel back and forth will cost us @ home an on the road. I could see a Sat. 9pm Game @Okla. Then Thurs. Okla St. @home 8pm. Yeah our boys need that.

The OFFENSE lost this game, NOT the defense! No defense can stay on the field for 40 minutes of the game. There were way too may 3 and outs and turnovers. I question Morris's play calling big time. Where were the flairs and screens to counter the pass rush???

It's like everyone fell back into "oh crap, lets not give up this game" mode after the 1st quarter. we had a few long balls, but man, i was deflated for sure after all those weak drives.

The defense gave up 300 passing yards TO A BACKUP. There was no Lattimore, Miles went down with an injury. They had ONE weapon (Sanders) and the D still couldn't cover him. We gave up 22 points an 11 3rd down conversions to the 2nd string QB and 2nd & 3rd string RBs. It was a pathetic showing by the D.

I said it on another post, Morris does not know how to counterattack pressure. I do not believe that he studies film on other teams. To be honest Spurrier or someone on the gamecock's coaching staff seems to know what plays Morris is about to run. When we trailing 20-17 and we had third down and seven inside mid-field area, Spurrier called time out. Boyd threw the ball right down the middle and the gamecock safety went right to the spot where the ball was thrown for the interception. Morris maybe a genius to most of you, but I have some serious doubts. I think he has been reading his own clippings too long and now noone can tell him anything. He could have learned a lot from watching the Tennessee and LSU games on how to move the ball against Carolina.

I agree with you and anyone who doesn't believe Dabo is a vast improvement over Tommy Bowden is absolutely NUTS!
I do question all the absolute love extended to Morris. He is obviously a terrific offensive coordinator but I'm not exactly overwhelmed by his play calling against really quality defenses. This is twice he has played against a first class defense, both being the coots, unfortunately, and both times his offense was shut down. He just doesn't seem to have an answer for a fierce pass rush and you can't put it all on the QB. Other coaches with lesser QB's have been able to move the ball effectively against the chickens, why can't Clemson?!

We can continue to go 10-2 and that is great, but if if the ACC continues to be weak overall and if we continue to lose to our rivals, then we will spin our wheels and go nowhere.
Its hard to look at our schedule and say that we had quality wins and deserve to be in a BCS bowl.

You should care who you beat because the media does, the recruits do, the sponsors do. Beating up on garbage teams and losing to the few good ones doesn't advance the program.

I hate people whining about the schedule. Sometimes you just have to play the hand you're dealt. Who knew Auburn and VT were gonna suck so bad this year. Or that NCST was going to be so up and down. Back in August most people thought those 3 at least would make some noise (and not a sucking sound). So yeah, we had a good year. We won the games we were suppose to (for once).
That being said, we had a chance to have a great year. This was a game to make a statement and we blew it.

Most people aren't complaining that we played a weak schedule. They are complaining that we lost to the only two teams that made our schedule legitimate. If we went 12-0 we could use the "play the hand your dealt", but not after losing to the only teams that were worth anything.

That's what I meant by this was a statement game. We had a chance to proof that our 10 wins weren't just a product of a weak schedule. But we blew it. It was a poor effort from the top down. Poor strength and conditioning, poor coaching, poor play calling, poor execution on the field.

How does our record compare to a team like UGA that could play for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP?
We did have our two losses this year, but we did fairly well compared to what people expected (7 to 9 wins). New DC, expect growing pains. Add losses from our already hurting secondary, we are not going to perform as well as usual. Shaw didn't play because he's not as good a passer as Thompson. Good call for Ball Sack.
I'm sticking with this team. Y'all can have it your way, but this is building into something remarkable, and is way better than the crap I dealt with during the TB years.
And you know what, bring LSU or UGA. It's all about matchups, and they don't have a Clowney.

Yes, I'm a "coot", but I'm also a Georgia Tech fan. I would have loved for GT to have Clemson's success this year (or any year here lately for that matter). Clemson has lost only 2 games this year. GT is 6-6. Now that's sad.
