We were told "just you wait and see" when it comes to using the transfer portal
Well....
We're waiting. No news. No rumors. Nothing.
Have we even offered anyone yet?

They aren’t going to say who we’ve offered until the deals are done. We didn’t know who we offered last year and contrary to popular belief, we did go after I think 3(?) players in the portal.

We knew about us going after two offensive linemen. Michigan and Florida ultimately got them.
I've heard about Fentrell Cypress from UVA but everything I've read has him going somewhere else.
It just seems weird to not hear anything. It feels like we're going to be disappointed yet again.

So you are upset because the staff does not publish our portal offers which would put us at a competitive disadvantage?
The other point is many of the guys in the portal we would want are seeking a NIL commitment which we do not do until after they are enrolled. This means that fans like you (seemingly) who are expecting the portal to be a big part of our recruiting strategy going forward will be sorely disappointed.

I think he's basically a little discouraged about lack of movement as am I. We don't know what, if anything is happening behind the scenes, but there have been a number of schools already announcing players who've transferred in or players announcing their target school. Can't help feeling that we might get left behind again this year. Let's hope the Tigers get some help from the portal to strengthen the roster...

Yes, it is strange. This whole portal thing is different. HS players proudly display their offers and “Top 5”. All of the portal junk seems to be happening behind closed doors and in darkly lit rooms.

Asking why no offers? Some will say we are keeping it quiet. But offers to portal players are known based on the David Hood article and others. Clemson is missing from any of those that folks are saying we should be in on. If we've made offers, strange that none of the players have said so.
