anybody think DW should be able to remove Fuller patch?

After what he's done with this team virtually since he walked on campus and especially this year is it time to remove the Fuller patch now?

No because the number is still retired (technically). Deshaun being great doesn't trump or undo what Fuller already did.

No denying what DW is doing and has done for Clemson. Also no denying what Fuller did for Clemson. There is room to honor both these Clemson greats. No need to remove the patch.

We don't discard past greats like that here at Clemson. Steve Fuller earned the honor of having his number retired after 3 successful and remarkable seasons while wearing the paw. No doubt, in just 16-17 games Deshaun Watson is proving he is deserving of wearing #4 not as a replacement of Steve Fuller but an enhancement. Just my thoughts, I'm sure some will tell me I am stupid, I'm a moron and a coot but that's okay, I've grown used to it.

Keep in mind Fuller avgd 13 passes a game his senior year and most of those were on 3rd and more than 5 with only 4 ints. He was 75 percent against SC... 3 of 4! And we won 43-20 iirc. He was also on the ACC record setting 4/100 RELAY team witakeh Jerry Butler. Both are great players and we will undoubtedly have to retire #4 again!

prominent as that patch is on his uniform that I've never heard any of the media covering DW or a game make mention of the patch and the tie-in with Steve Fuller. I don't have cable/satellite, so I may well have missed it, but in all the ABC games I've watched and all the clips I've seen online, I've never heard it discussed at all.
Let's not forget Steve Fuller's biggest contribution, however - his role in the epic Super Bowl Shuffle music video from the 85 Bears!! "This is Steve, and it's no wonder...." Eminem and Kid Rock can thank the original #4 for breaking the glass ceiling for white rappers!!

The 60s to mid 70s were not a great time in Clemson football. Steve and company put us back on the map. What we are doing today is on the shoulders of Steve and many others. For Steve and his class to start where they did and end up 11-1 and #6 in the nation is very important in Clemson history.

Those trips to the Gator bowl were a special time for my family and all because of Fuller and many other great Clemson players. I'm sure Fuller is very proud to have Watson wearing #4 and that number reminds me of what a special player Steve was.

What you should be doing is Thanking Steve Fuller for allowing Him to wear Number 4 He didn't have to do it ,. but he is a Great Tiger and person .,
Thank You ,., Steve from one of your old teammates ,. I might have missed a block or two .,
Some of you should know also that while playing as hard as he did ,., Steve was also a Rhoades Scholar ,. one of the smartest men I ever knew .,
OP you need to think before you type .,
