Anybody else think Dabos overreacting?

Cade may be the team leader, but he’s also a 21 or 22 year old student who was excited about his Spring Break trip. It seems like Dabo is going on & on about how bad the last practice was and Vizzina is “knocking on the door” for QB1. I understand that he’s trying to motivate CB, but he is also trying to embarrass him publicly. Not cool IMO…

It's good to know Viz is closing the gap in competition at QB! Will be a great asset to have a capable backup ready to go.

No reason to believe Dabo was BSing about Vizzina closing in, but yeah, I don’t think he’s really going take over Cade’s spot.

Agreed. Coach speak to make him think he's got a shot at the starting role next year and he doesn't transfer leaving us super inexperienced and thin at the position

3 time Texas state champ and undefeated at highest level. CV lost his ### at low level GA private school. Likable young man, but there is a big gap. IMHO Clemson does not win the ACC or make playoffs without CK2.

I for one am loving the return of the old, firey, hungry Dabo. That’s the Dabo that will get us back on top. You practice like you play as the old adage goes. You don’t “check out” in the 4th quarter. You finish the job, ESPECIALLY if you’re the leader of the team.
By checking out CK embarrassed himself, Dabo is just holding him, and numerous other players and coach accountable for their actions this offseason, and I love to see it

He probably just wants Cade to have a sense of urgency and also to motivate Vizzina.

Cade can handle the criticism; DJU needed his diaper changed. Amazing the approach of the two QBs, isn' it? LOL

if your QB1 is that soft...wounded to his core by an off season sound bite, he'll either quit & hit the portal or falter early and often throughout the season-

Don't be ridiculous. Coaches do it all the time to focus players. Pre-spring break practice or a lesser opponent not given due respect, focus must be maintained. Bad habits begin with a single action/ inaction. It also serves to keep Vizzina engaged and hopefully out of the portal.

Dabo is doing the same thing every good coach in any sport since the original Olympics has done pushing his players to be great. Sorry his comments made you cry and snuggle up to your favorite pillow.

He and Cade are close, so I’m confident Dabo wouldn’t be so hard on him if their relationship did not allow for it.

No I think Dabo hasn't had a healthy QB competition since he's been here.
Maybe we should get a backup QB that could actually win the job. We need a couple of big time QB's we cant promise some kid he's going to be the guy...

Just how soft are you? It's a motivating tool. If Dabo didn't think Cade would respond to it he would have used a different tactic.

Just another case of Dabo having constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the lips. Vizzina has about as much chance of surpassing Cade as starting QB as a 1 legged man in an @ss kicking contest.
