that the smokestacks are kind of an eyesore?
I know that coal-fire power plant still generates some of campus's electricity, but it's an ugly structure and the land could go to much better use (parking deck, athletic facilities, dorms, etc.)

I don't necessarily mind them, but a parking deck would be nice for students. I never realized before how centered between the stacks Tillman Hall is from the West End Zone.

Also, they look like a second, outer set of goalposts.
New spin on field goals -- Three points for field goals going through the yellow posts. Ten points for FGs going through the smoke stacks.

Gives the scene a nice old-timey look to it. Plus they line up perfectly with the goalposts (in fact they kinda look like goalposts), scoreboard, and Tillman. And even the C-Ho watertower. They frame the whole scene quite nicely.

Many people I knew in my time at Clemson affectionately referred to it as the C-Ho, or "The Ho", or occasionally the "Clemson Ho". Especially when the "use" neon lights went out.

the long range plan for Clemson included adding new dorms in the grassy space between the P Plant, Klugh Avenue, McCabe, Holmes, and what's left of Johnstone.

Once they build the new dorms out at Doughtit Hills, they'll probably tear down what's left of Johnstone and Thornhill Village.

The new Greek Village will be comprised of two townhouse units, 13 sorority houses, 14 fraternity houses, and a community center with offices and meeting space amenities to residents.

Because the negotiations between greek life and the university keep going back and forth. The university insists on owning the buildings and charging rent that isn't competitive with the houses that many fraternities are currently using.

I always liked the view of Westzone taking shots from the hill. Makes DV look like a freaking palace. The hill side doesn't have much "show" to it. And yes I am being overly critical
