I just picked up a 2021 black standard. I love it, man.
And what's the first new solo I learned on it? Anytime by Journey. I love me some Neil Schon.

Excellent. It’s on the list. I’m a Tele man first, SG second. But I’d love a Les Paul.

In terms of Les Paul style guitars, I prefer the ESP Eclipse. They sound, feel and play great. And a standard Eclipse is a bit lighter than a weight relieved LP, but still very durable. Several of my guitar buddies have gotten rid of the majority of their LPs for the Eclipse. Don’t get me wrong, a LP is a great guitar and I think that every collector should have a couple. I just like an Eclipse better as an everyday/heavy use guitar.

Wouldn't mind owning one, Value for money, PRS and Ibanez are hard to beat.

Most poeple do not like the neck radius and string spacing

for me it is far more playable, and I do not have to tune my Open B string flat.
I have much more expensive guitars that do not touch the QC on this thing.

I rarely agree with you; however on this occasion congrats. I wish I could I could play like Les. He was one of the best!

I have a manhattan blue Les Paul Studio. I enjoy playing it-my only issue is that the g string gets out of tune quite easily. Someone else mentioned that it is heavy. I can’t argue with that!
I’ve never had the out of tune g string problem with my Telecaster.

I need to retune it a lot. I think it's the trade off for easy bending.***

put graphite in your Nut, the G string is likely getting hung up in there. Take a number 2 pencil and rub it in the grooves in the nut where the strings pass through. Now they will slide through it easily. Otherwise, you have an issue with your tuner. A guitar of that quality should not go out of tune that easily, and if it is just one string, this leads me to believe your nut is the problem. This happens all ofthe time on my Fenders, that and the trem Springs ringing through the bridge.

Telecaster is my #1, it's indestructible and I'll take it anywhere
Black SG is #2, looks cool sounds great but it needs to be pampered a bit.
Les pauls are great, owned a few and sold them. They don't sit well on my body, I'm tall and it's just not comfortable

I started on a '72 Tele when I was 12. I built hand strength pretty quickly. You could drop it down a flight of stairs and would probably stay in tune.

Traded a 1969 Les Paul Custom for a Flying Vee back in the late 70's. I like the V better, easier to manage during long sets due to body weight but I wish I had that LP as well,

It remains flawless for I never open the case without washing my hands and lately I've taken to wearing long sleeve all cotton Tee shirts when I play it. I've never laid a pick on the strings and with the work I'm doing on this project car my nails are seldom long enough to play.
I took it out yesterday and picked a few James Taylor, Carole King and a little Elton John. I'm just not much for rock and roll anymore.
I owned several Gibsons over the years, an SG custom deluxe like Alvin Lee played, a couple of Hummingbirds and even a Dove. I loved them but they aren't a picker's dream. The Martin is for the distance between the strings suits me best.
