Thank you sir. I had found this site earlier. I couldn't find anything that represented what I was looking for. None of these coins would sell for a fortune, but I was curious about one in particular. The obverse and reverse are stamped on both sides of the coin. Thanks again.

By the way, every time I see your profile picture I get a chuckle. Can you imagine being on the incoming side of that mother of all bombs?

Not a coin collector by any means, but reading your post made me think that I have a lot of coins that are more than 100 years old. I should take them out and look at them sometimes. Funny thing is, I keep most of them in an old metal box that my CLEMSON roommate made for me his freshman year.

I’ve got some as old as 1853. Not worth a bunch of money, but the grandkids love to look at them and imagine who might have carried them around. I’ve got some Morgan silver dollars, and I’d tell them you would take them to the local saloon, throw em on the bar and say, belly up to the bar boys, the drinks are on me, like they do in the old western movies.

Ya never know. There’s even a couple of wheat pennies worth a small fortune with the right mint mark/date.

Yeah, I saw on a web site where one miscast auctioned for close to $400,000 dollars. I don't know if that was true or some kind of pitch to lure people to their web site. Man, that would be a nice supplement to my retirement.

If you are in Greenville check with plaza coins on Poinsett highway

Thank you sir. My son is in Greenville this weekend, I’ll ask if he can drop by.
