Remember the flyers that used to be posted everywhere with the “tear off” phone numbers at the bottom?

My first year was on B9 Johnstone, had only one phone booth

(Yep, a phone booth) on the floor for the entire floor to use. Had to pay extra for a room with a phone, (on another floor, I guess.) Other thing I remember is the RA on our floor was the biggest (at least most obvious, towels over the vent do NOT work) pot user on the hall.

There was no way for family or anyone else to contact me. You had to catch me in class or at the ESSO club.

Remember the ledges on Johnstone.
Summer '83 on a campus tour with my parents, walking from east to west I heard loud music and then saw the craziest sight with guys sunbathing on the ledges 4 stories up with stereos blaring all playing different songs. At that moment I suspected the next 4 years were going to the best of my life. Summer between freshman and sophomore years they welded in the clips so the windows could only be opened about 6 inches.
Too much liability, not to mention it curtailed all the TVs and bottles crashing onto the quad during exam week.
Also residence hall parties in Jonhstone with beer kegs supplied by the University. Times were fun when the legal drinking age was still 18.

Remember the tear away jerseys we had. There would be about 4 different shades of orange on the field.

Didn't mean to imply tear offs were invented in the 80s...

...only that I remember them when I was a student then. I am not qualified to discuss CU in the 70s.
We'll say 80s and before. Good by you? Good by me!
