understand why since Pitt on defense had almost everyone upon the line of scrimmage we tried to run on them. We should have thrown on most downs including a run every in once in awhile. Down the field passing was the need for the day. When the game is tight Dabo and Riley must get tight and become afraid to throw. Mafah must be injured and is too slow for them to get him around a corner on 4th and 1

it was either screen to the side where pitt had numbers or a deep pass that took long to develop..zero quick slants

Yes, we are in trouble with Riley. I honestly think Streeter was better. The dumbest of the dumb calls from Riley. Yes, a great call on last play but what was the body of work for the game.

The officiating was the worse I have ever seen since the days of Ron Cherry’s phantom holding calls and marking of the ball. Pitt was holding on almost every down in their last drive down the field. These ACC officials would never let us get away with that.

You spelled it out. We stopped attacking that way because Dabo was trying not to lose. He didn’t want to risk a turnover and decided to shut down to offense. That was the most frustrating part — knowing we COULD have continued to move the ball but decided not to

All Dabo's teams since TL16 left have done the same thing. As you mentioned, against Pitt, they were giving us the middle of the field mid-range and deep and we did not take it. Bad offensive coaching.

Cade had Williams open for an easy TD but just overthrew it.

Pitt run-blitzed the heck out of our depleted line, and we couldn't get the run game going.

Hoping everyone can heal up this weekend and be ready for the Cawks.

Have you ever thought about looking at stats? We threw the ball 41 times and ran it 27. Since Cade had 10 runs, no doubt several of his runs were where he was supposed to pass but but was unable to and had to scramble so probably more like 45 pass plays and 23 runs.
