We were the winners there for sure!
More times than not, guys who screw around with the integrity of the “verbal commitment” process turn out to be guys you did not need to begin with.
There are many examples.

Not really BIG dex had committed way before R.Gary committed to Mich. Gary would have been a Cherry on top. He committed on National signing day.

Nearly all the attention was on Gary from Clemson people.

Dexter's commitment was not talked about NEARLY as much as Gary's not commitment.
I remember doing my "complain-about-the-fans" thing and being a complainer about it. If Tigernet had a decent search function I would prove it.

True I do remember there being a lot of attention on Gary. I never understood why when Dex was such a massive human that could move. But I just remembered getting Dex earlier and then trying to land Gary on top of that. I don’t recall getting Dex as a consolation prize because we missed on Gary.
