USuC fans' worst nightmare.
Apr 13, 2015, 11:18 AM
|
|
USuC fans have hated on Dabo for the reason of fear. They saw that an inexperienced coach was taking our tigers into the right direction. Now they are going backwards while we are reaching new levels. They are to the point that they are praying for something bad to happen to Watson.
It's a great time to be a tiger!
GO CLEMSON!!!!!

WHAT YALL BETTER HOPE FOR IS GETTING SUPERIOR TO RETIRE AND HIRE A YOUNG GUY WITH SOME FIRE IN HIS BELLY. ALL YOUR GUY CARES ABOUT NOW IS DRINKING, GOLFING AND GOING TO CONCERTS. HE!! IF YOU HEARD HIS SHOW LAST THURSDAY HE WAS ABOUT 3 SHEETS IN THE WIND DURING THAT SHOW.

Too good!!! Their "deal with the Devil" has been just that. They have regressed to a new low in the last few years, and they don't even realize it. So has spurlid, though. They found each other. Sadly, spurlid's stop at usuc has greatly diminished his reputation in the eyes of so many. Their clinging to the conference they backed their way into is their biggest accomplishment and their only saving grace.

the more you post, the more ignorant, deluded and clueless you sound.
I think Abraham Lincoln said it best when he said, "Tis better to be thought a fool and remain silent than to speak out and remove all doubt.
You should seriously consider committing this quote to memory and allowing it's teachings to govern your every word and action for the remainder of your pitiful existence.
Just because a thought goes through your head does not mean that it needs to come out of your beak.

Also, I'd love to hear how you think USuC will win more than 4 games this year. Go.
I googled "USC 2015 football schedule" and every link was for SoCal. Whoops. Guess we know who the Real USC is. I googled "Carolina 2015 football schedule" and every link was for UNC. Whoops. Guess we know who the real Carolina is.
But I digress.

Drummer,
We nearly won 10 last season and we were pretty bad.
Have to think we get lucky at least a few times. Four seems awfully low. It's been around 15 years since we've only won that few.

You should have won vs. Kentucky and Tennessee. But you should have lost to UGA and Florida as well. It all evened out in the end. Your record was a reflection of your football team. Good offense, terrible defense and no real playmakers except for Pharoah. You are who we thought you were.
This year it's going to be terrible offense and average defense making you worse this year than last. Your only saving grace is that the SEC East sucks.

You were lucky to win at UCF. Mike Bobo gift wrapped that win over UGA for you. USuC was lucky to beat Miami. I think you have serious questions with your skill positions on offense and your defense might as well be Airport High School's.

There are a lot of unknowns at the moment. Not sure why anyone would feel confident pretending to be certain one way or another.
I hope you guys keep up the tough talk because it would make winning that much sweeter this year.

Your dream run is over. And as far as the UCF game next year, I wouldn't even bet that as a win. You'll be lucky to beat Kentucky and UCF.
Your program is garbage. Always has been, always will be.
Worst part is, your head coach knows it.

Same guy predicted the Coots to beat A&M, Tennessee, KY, Missouri and Clemson.

ROFL...you've blabbered some really ignorant rhetoric over the years Clueless but that one may take the cake.
I guess during the 1998 and 1999 seasons when you were ACTUALLY 1 - 21, you ALMOST won 22 as well.

You coots would have never won 5 straight over us if it hadn't been for TB leaving mid season and killing our recruiting for that year. And it wouldn't have mattered much who TDP hired at that time unless it would have been Saban or Less Miles or someone like those two at the time. We had like I think 28 committed and only signed 12, and it took time to rebuild from a loss of that many recruits. One thing is for sure though, the guy that all you coots poked fun and laughed about. Dumbo Dabo that y'all called him plus many more, and the one y'all hoped would be at Clemson for years has built a solid program that gets better everyday. And slurrier will never win another game against Clemson as long as he is a coach, or Dumbo Dabo is at Clemson, never!!! That ole saying that says be careful for what you ask for bc it could end up biting you in the A$$. Well, Ouch, Dabo and Clemson will be kicking you coots in the A$$ for a very long time, and you rightfully ask for it. H&ll, I think that slurriers mouth help create a fire in Dabo that he may never have had if it hadn't been for all the disrespect from slurrier, and the disrespect from your fan base. Now look at what Dumbo Dabo has done, he has us absolutely loaded with talent on both sides of the ball with assistant coaches that can develop talent, and they are very happy at Clemson!!! What is really funny and great knowing is this. Coaches with a pulse has clearly seen that the great Steve Slurrier couldn't win any championships at usuc, and that there has only been one won there in over a hundred years. So I don't see any super coaches coming there, the only coaches coming there will be coaches that just got fired and looking for a job, kind of like y'all Got that drunk slurrier. Stick a fork in the chickens, their done!!!

But for divine intervention, you should have rightfully lost to ECU, Georgia, Vandy, and Florida.
You were d@mn lucky to finish the regular season 6 - 6. It could have just as easily been 2 - 10.
See how that works !?!?!

4-8, 5-7, 6-6. 7-5 at best.

Favorites to win the ACC and preseason top 10. That's just what the media is saying. Vegas has only got a few teams ahead of us so I would say right now it's a good chance.

I've got a number of questions for 09...

Firstly, what did you expect from your team last year? Did you buy into the hype with Shaw, Ellington, Clowney and a plethora of others gone? I saw that coming from a mile away, but all I heard was "preseason #9!"
Also, what do you project as your record this season? Are you confident in your team? With QB uncertainty, where will all of your offense come from this season?
How much improved do you think your defense will be this season? And are you like the rest, do you really think over the course of a few months, Hoke will turn the D into a shadow of what yall were with Clowney and company?
And finally, if both our teams remained relatively healthy with no big pieces missing from the puzzle, who do you think will win between us this year?

We were preseason #9 so it was hard not to think we were going to be better than we ended up being. I'm guessing you more got lucky about your prediction. You were predicting our collapse the year prior as well.
I have no idea what to expect from this team. I'm just going to wait and see what we get once the season starts.
At this point, Clemson should win but USC can win if things go our way.

i can tell you exactly what to expect coot. your program slipping further into mediocrity, much like it was the 100 years before your 5 years of perceived greatness where you won nothing then either except for beating your rival who was in a transition period themselves. face it, you have a drunk for a coach that is more interested in hanging around celebrities than kids. but please, keep him for as long as he will stay, or get a dui, whichever comes first.

We both know when you hear Carolina you think Gamecocks. We both know when you hear USC you think Gamecocks.

There was no luck involved at all...

It was clear by the time our game took place, your program was far from where it was in previous seasons.
I knew where Clemson was at WITH Watson at QB...without him, I would have been a little more concerned. Stoudt came in for Watson and I believe threw an interception either on his second or third pass. This is what everyone was afraid of. He wasn't playing up to the billing we were hearing about in practice.
But with Watson, yall didn't stand a chance. This season, if Watson is QB, again yall won't stand a chance. I also think Scheussler is a better fit for this offense than Stoudt. Stoudt had NO elusiveness and didn't have the meat behind his bones to be a bruiser...not at 6'5". Scheussler, while small, is much more elusive and suits our spread option better than Stoudt.
I'm not sure you genuinely remember me saying anything about our meeting in Columbia 2 games ago. If I'm being honest, yes, I would have thought we would have had a very good chance at beating you with Boyd, Watkins, and company. But, it's clear you had some very good talent in your program that has now left the proverbial building. The difference between our two programs, Clemson is killing it on the recruiting trail, already has a stash of talented recruits from previous classes...we're only getting better. It'd be quite the stretch to say the same for the gamechickens...there is nothing that is pointing up for your program...especially with Spurrier on the verge of hanging it up. Your recruits won't forget his comments and the other schools you recruit against will continue to remind them of that.
I don't foresee yall improving much at all, if any, in the next few years. I think yall are about to experience quite a drought in success...

You guys will never admit it but it was your defense that beat us. All Watson did was hand the ball off.
You guys were a better team than we were last year. We will see how well you guys replace your defense.

Nearly 500 yards of offense, 225 yards rushing. I'd say our O had a lot to do with it

Our defense definitely helped get the job done and haunted Thompson in the backfield. But the thing most gamechickens don't realize, we've recruited talent on the defense. Most of yall HOPE that Clemson will regress as far back as yall did on defense. Thing is, we are in two entirely different situations. We stocked the talent and are continuing to bring in guys like Wilkins.
I certainly don't think we'll be the #1 defense in the land, but I do think we'll be around a top 20 defense...more than sufficient with our caliber offense. An offense that doesn't even have two 5 stars (one comparable to Watkins) practicing with the team yet.
Hypothetically speaking, even if our defense was as bad as yours, our offense will be one of the best in the country. Meanwhile, yall are going with an uproven, uncertain QB and NO WAY your defense has that drastic of a turn around...better maybe, but not great.
All I hear from your fanbase is high hopes. Clemson has a track record of success now...we've got something a little more substantial to fall back on than hope.

In reality , the great Steve Spurrier , master mouthmatician , hasn't won a single significant game that meant anything since his last UF SEC Championship ...so that is about 15 years ago or so. Coots is just dumb.

I believe that truly what their worst nightmare is is that what a lot of national pundits are saying could happen, actually does. That is, Clemson has a real shot to be in the playoff maybe each of the next two years. If you are in the CFP then obviously you have a chance to win it.
Can you imagine, if (and I don't know that it's a huge if) we were to win the big one, with the way they have maligned Dabo as a cheerleader, clown, etc., if we won the championship, the meltdown within coot nation would be absolutely epic.
They know that is very unlikely that they ever sniff the CFP (short of the field being expanded to around 16 teams or more) and for us to win one under Dabo, I would grab my popcorn and sit-back and wait for the fun to begin.

Need I remind you that Deshaun Watson has yet to play a full, healthy season? Has the kid looked really good when he's been healthy? Absolutely! Is he as good as some of you boys want to believe? Don't know yet. I know that I'd take his future over any other young QB in the country right now, barring injury issues. Yes, Coach Swinney has improved as a calmer, more thoughtful and rational, less of a cheerleader coach. He's always been an outstanding recruiter, even on a national scale, but I see much more improvement in developing his offensive players. He appears to be emphasizing the offensive line, and that is the key to Clemson success going forward. The defense has been developed to perfection by Coach Venables, although reloading or rebuilding is necessary this year. Brent Venables has done an amazing job in just three years! IMHO he's the best teaching coach on campus, in any sport!

Coots run (2009-2013) is now 2 years past , and they have not recruited well enough to keep up. UGA and UT are now better than they are , and UF is going along nicely but changing coaches makes them a question mark. If they were an ACC team this season I could see them winning 7 maybe 8 games ...but as it is they will struggle for .500 in my opinion in 2015 . They have lock losses coming against Clemson , LSU , UGA and Mizzou . Throw in the toss ups against UT , UF and UNC and this thing could get ugly quick . I personally think we are looking at the beginning of not only Steve Spurrier's final season ever of coaching football , but also the beginning of another Gamecock football decline that will last a long while ...as they always do.
