There is depth of talent than any year between 2015-2019. Our glory years.
So for any of you doubting the playmakers we have, all I’ve got to say is LOL
The accolades speak for themselves
But if you watch the way Dabo’s teams play when there is a direct path to a national championship, they looked even on another level than how good they were during the season.
I don’t know what to expect from SMU, but I know 100% that Clemson’s players will be out there with their hair on fire. Hitting harder. Doing the little things.
This isn’t Dabo’s first go round in this game. Where it is SMU’s first as a program, and their coach’s first.
Some examples of what I mean. Pittsburgh ACC Championship first play, 80 yard TD by Travis.
Mike Williams and Jordan Leggett on the final drive against Alabama.
AJ Terrell pick-6 first play versus Alabama
Trevor Lawrence 50-yard TD vs Ohio State
Travis Etienne locking hands with Ohio State defender and pushing him away and scoring
Tee Higgins jet sweep TD vs LSU to make it 17-7
Cade vs UNC. #### poor defense, but still the pressure on him and he exceeded expectations.
We saw similar things of these players during regular season, but not at that level of athleticism and physical strength.
I could go on. But Dabo ignites his players, and I’ve think we got a real chance.

Our D-line and backers need to stop the screens

and get to the QB before he starts to scramble. Our secondary needs to wrap up and stop
Missing tackles. We play like Clemson standard defense we miss and we stop playing so conservative on offense, we just may take an ACC title.

Man that's the old Clemson.Do better u should know better.We have to take a great leap In recruiting to see those days.Plus Dabo needs an OC that runs his offense not the Clemson offense.

I want to be right there with you, truly. And I'm sure hoping for it.
But I can't shake that this team has had 3 big tests so far this season, where there was an opportunity to come out, make a statement, show who we are, etc., just like you said, and just like we've seen in the past.
I think it would have to be said that SC was our best showing of those three tests in that regard, and that's not encouraging.
Maybe it will be different. And I wouldn't be surprised if this team comes on like a Wild Card team making a run in the NFL playoffs.
But it feels less like a switch we can throw, like we did back then, and more like an intangible unknown.
