Larry Williams is reporting that Alfred did visit Ole Miss. He noted the family came to Clemson with their “trainer” as well. That sounds like something Clemson would not appreciate. Anyhow, he’s now predicting a commitment to Ole Miss tomorrow.

Clemson FB must adapt and start showing kids some money upfront or be relegated to the likes of Wake Forest. No one on here with orange colored glasses wants to admit it, but it’s the sad reality of college football. And we don’t have the luxury of giving it time and hoping that suddenly the NCAA will grow a backbone and start regulating this circus.

Some of us have been saying this exact thing for awhile LC but the homers here don’t want to hear it.
Some have made it very clear as long as we keep our “morals and integrity” they’re fine with sinking back into mediocrity.
We may be top 10 in recruiting but it’s bc of our defensive recruiting. Everybody knows you have to pay up front for elite offensive skill talent which we have flat out refused to do.
Yes we’ll get a few kids here and there like Wesco/Moore that don’t mind coming in to earn it but you’re going to see less and less of those as the years pass.
Why do you think we’ve resorted to now taking 3 star QBs instead of 4/5 star QBs? We refuse to play the game the way every single other school in the country is playing it.
So what if we have a great defense? You still have to score 21-24 points to have a real shot against elite competition. We’re not going to hold Georgia/Alabama/Ohio St/Oregon to 10 points and beat them 13-10.
Offense is what wins in today’s game and to have a great offense you have to have great talent and to get the great talent offensively you have to pay up front.
Under Dabo… when our QB is not the best player on the field every game… we have struggled to beat the elite competition. Well the days of our QB being the best player on the field are gone bc we refuse to pay up front.

No thank you. I’m good with the way Clemson handles NIL and soon those that openly pay for play will have to adapt to using NIL the way it was meant to be used.

As long as you're good with 9-10 wins seasons and no Natty's then ok. Make no mistake, you win Natty's with more Jimmie's and Joe's. As the number of those kinds of players reduces, so does the years between Natty's. We won the last 2 because we had the better QB, better WR'S, and better Defense. Of thise 3 key things, the defense is the only piece that is close. So, be ok with what we are doing with NIL, and prepare to not be at the top anymore. Those are the facts
