The hate for Bama is ridiculous. They will always be the gold standard of college football. Don’t know of any other team that is hated universally solely for winning. They wound be favored over everyone in the field except maybe Oregon.

USED to be the gold standard. Saban is gone and so is the deal with the devil. Bama is just a 3 loss team now.

Either you’re a young buck who doesn’t know Bama before saban or an old guy living from Bear days. The gold standard was FSU and UF in the 90s/00s and Bama didn’t really take that title until 2010 or so. Lately since 2020 it’s been UGA and if you don’t think UGA would be favored over Bama ing the playoffs then you’re a closet elephant fan.

I hope SMU gets in because 1) I think they deserve it and 2) I'd much rather Georgia have to face SMU over Bama. ( I think fans of every playoff team, if they are being honest, feel the same way). But, if the committee puts in Bama, the meltdown will be epic and entertaining.

Did you watch them play Oklahoma? How about Vanderbilt? They absolutely could lose to almost any top 40 team. This is not Saban’s team. I get it when Saban was the coach but he’s not and they are as good.

This is absurd. They were already an underdog this year to UGA. At Bama.
They would be an underdog to at least half the field. Oregon, UGA, Texas, OSU, Notre Dame, Penn St, maybe Tennessee.

Committee will keep Alabama in. They have done it more than once when they haven’t had the deserving resume. 2017 and last year. I think Alabama will be 11, Clemson 12 and smu ranked 13
