First, I hate the portal and NIL. Way to try to set rules NCAA once the horse is out of the barn!
Second, question, what is going on with hoops??? Clark and Godfrey left soon as the paint was dry! I thought for sure they would possibly both start next year and they're gone.
Anyone know why they didn't stick around and if we have anyone else coming to fill the gaps? Tks

Godfrey didn’t stick around because apparently he wasn’t expected to start next season according to his dad on twitter

Not sure what you have against dads speaking up for their sons but he seemed very genuine

Such is the landscape of college basketball the past few years, and really more common than football for a while. As long as we can get a big man or 2 and someone that is a proven shooter, I think Clemson can still be pretty good. If Chase Hunter comes back, Wiggins takes the next step to be the player everyone thinks he can be, and get a couple key pieces in the portal, could definitely make a return to the field of 64!

Name, Image , Likeness. Supposedly a player was to be able to profit by doing some endorsements that utilized his Name, or Image, or Likeness. Now schools just hire a team and buy the players they want. It’s reported that Calipari will have at least 5 million to disperse among players. That’s not NIL. That’s just buying a team. It’s getting really hard to be a fan of any of this.

So, intrepid, does that mean you are a fan of the out of control buying of players?

I really don't have an issue with Clark leaving. He came in as a grad student so we only expected to have him here for one year, and he doesn't actually know that he'll be allowed a sixth year of eligibility anyway.

Clark I was not counting on from eligibility standpoint. Godfrey I’m really disappointed in. He seemed to be really coming on with tremendous upside. Plus my wife’s favorite Tiger! I hate this lack of any regulation transfer portal / NIL world we’re in. Not against players being rewarded but we’ve got to have boundaries.
