aesthetically pleasing field. Is it all artificial turf? Either that, or Augusta National level manicured grassiness.

I lived in Winston several years after graduating from Clemson in 1964 and the Red Sox had a minor league franchise that used The stadium. It has had a dramatic makeover since they left and the Deacons took over. I have always enjoyed Ernie Shore field. Oddly enough, Shore was an ex Red Sox.
I bet you didn’t know that Wake played their football games in those days at an auto racetrack several miles from campus.

Definitely need sliding shorts underneath the uni...I've seen kids slide way past second base if they don't grab the bag & then get tagged out trying to get back.
