After watching games today, I am certain we are the worst team in the country currently.

I would’ve loved our chances against Syracuse without their starting quarterback…

Even the Touchdowns we score are painful to watch. I never thought that would be possible until this season

I beg to differ. We’re just 2 plays away from being 3-1.

literally came down to the last play of the game.
And as far as the season as a whole?
There are fingers pointing at two dozen different things, and being bored I thought to summarize the season to date. I’m just gonna throw out some commentary based on what I’ve seen. It may seem long but in reality it only hones in on the very most important concerns.
LSU: Running backs had 9 carries all night nonetheless there were both basic and game changing pass plays to be had unfortunately we missed at least a dozen that night including two misses on 3rd and 4th, the last two plays of the game. In spite of the mediocre day we were having at QB, we had a guy wide open for a game tying TD on 3rd down, and 1st down opportunities on 4th down.
Defense did give up a 7 point lead but overall holding LSU to about 350 and 17 points is winning football and placing the game in the hands of the offense.
I’m just gonna say we played well enough to win at every position.. with one exception. Otherwise 1-0.
TROY: Wacky weather delay and the game started out in the twilight zone. Broken pass coverage for their quick 7. The defense gave up that and 3 more points all day. Obviously winning football. The offense was a hot mess including the tip int 6 for Troy. It was 16-0 and things looked dire for sure. Fortunately Cade picked it up and Randall had almost a 100 yards in the 2nd half. Outscored them 27-0 with 24 in the 2nd half.
Other than that funky first half, we did what we were supposed to do. QB included. 2-0.
GT: We had the game in our hands going into the 4th qtr and then the defense looked gassed giving up the late scoring drives. Disappointing for sure. Even tho the late TD drives were a disappointment, holding GT to 24 should have been enough. Thing is, we missed literally a dozen or so pass plays, again, and hit even half of those and the 4th qtr looks completely different with a nice lead.
I’m just gonna say we played well enough to win at every position.. with one exception. Otherwise 3-0.
SYRACUSE: defense was gashed early and often. Simply no excuse for that performance. NONE. They did tighten up some in the 2nd half, but this issue must be IMMEDIATELY addressed. I don’t know if it’s coaching or players on the DL, but I’m leaning towards both. The LB level saw some concerns too, but the boys up front were treated like rag dolls. Didn’t see any fight out of that group, especially for the first half. Other than Heldt, does anyone even want to play to “best is the standard”? I’m gonna stop there with the defense. The running game was getting nice chunks but what we hoped we wouldn’t see again was rearing its ugly head right out of the gate. Missed plays and opportunities. Gave the ball back to SU and they continued marching on the defense. Got in a hole meaning more passing for us. Left SEVERAL opportunities on the field to move the ball and score including some monstrous game changing plays. Randall showed out. It would have been nice to hit some of those pass plays. Hit that stuff as expected and the whole game can flip.
We were gashed early and often AND we missed numerous pass plays, again. Hit some of those simple plus game changing plays and who knows.
3-1, possibly 4-0.
I know and recognize there are other things of concern, but i think the season can be broken down that simply.

Yes, probably should just quit playing the game and go ahead and shutter the place down.
