Had not heard that one. Did not know you could get penalized for sliding at any time.
I do know forearms to the head area are illegal.

Reminds me of the story of the Catholic priest that rear ended a car being driven by a Jewish rabbi in New York City. When officer O'Mally got to the scene to investigate, his first words were "well father, just how fast was the rabbi going when he backed into you".
Maybe they should have penalized Trevor for running into Azeez's elbow!

He was just being sarcastic and saying I'm not these QB's need to get down early and make it clear. In the case with TL, I think he got down plenty early. That was a cheap shot.

He was not being sarcastic and was not particularly talking about Trevor specifically (although the conversation with Cowherd was about Trevor's hit) but said the NFL might consider penalties on QB's for later slides.

I think the dud has been fined five or six times prior to this just this year ......$10,000 - $15,000 fines.

3 game suspension is legit. And yes, they do withhold pay for suspensions. He loses 3 game checks.

It really was. I thought that after he said all of that he would have commented that Trevor's hit was at least nasty and the offending player should have been suspended. Never mentioned it. An elbow to the head after a launch is never OK ....period!
