ACC the only conference contained in a single time zone

I realize that Boston and Miami are maybe 1500+ miles apart, but at least we don’t have 2 or 3 hour time differences to deal with.
With its latest expansion, the B1G will be in 3 of four US time zones (none in Mountain) Same for B12…at least until they add another team from the PAC 12 PAC 12 and SEC will be in two

So in other words...

at least hours of football broadcast every Saturday across the country which is not a bad thing.
I'm suddenly reminded of this quote, "To change ourselves effectively, we must first change our perceptions.".

Fair enough, but…

…as an ACC fan, living in its geographic footprint (almost dead center), I am virtually guaranteed the following:
As a “Fanny in seat” fan, I will not have to travel more than 1,000 miles to attend a game, and with proper planning could travel to any ACC venue by auto, and the ABSOLUTE earliest I could ever expect to kick off is 11AM (rare circumstances) and the latest is 9PM (again, rare circumstances).
As a TV fan, and based on the above, 90+% of the games I care about end before midnight, and how many noon or 1PM kicks do you think we would have for home games with opponents from the west coast?
The B1G will be an interesting case study once the CA teams are playing full conference schedules, and the B12 could soon be spread across FOUR time zones.
I’ll deal with whatever we ultimately do, even if it means I will have to watch more games on TV than in person, and potentially see more finishes on DVR.

Isn't that a bad thing for TV content? That is one of the big reasons the PAC-12 has valuable content. Unless we kickoff at 9PM, ACC football is over by dinner time on the West Coast.

Just as an observation…from a fan who lives in ACC footprint

Unless they kickoff before 4PM EST, I am not likely to watch a west coast game in its entirety. Plus having west coast games could mean local start times as early as 9AM.
And then as far as ON FIELD action, are west coast teams going to be willing to travel to the east coast for a noon kick?
Anyway, as I said, my post was observational…I wasn’t making an argument for or against any realignment. Your point is well taken.
