I was screaming at them then to. Ron Cherry really stuck it to Clemson every chance it got. Then he train so many of the current officials. We lost games because of his officiating or lack there of!
I have been saying for decades that the ACC official’s are the worst of any other conference.

Whoever the replay official was needs to be fired. The play never got reviewed, and that's the inexcusable part. They had plenty of time due to an injury timeout. You know they had to re-watch it. It was textbook leading with the crown and launching, and they miss it.

I believe that Dabo even called timeout to give them time. I know they had time while play was stopped for Pace being injured. Missing it on the field was surprising, but as you said, the fact that it wasn't reviewed was inexcusable.

I wrote him and it was delivered. Tried to copy Phillips but the email addresses I tried came back undeliverable.
I have never written the officials in my 35+ years of Clemson football. It is one thing for them to do a review and to disagree on the outcome but to not even review the play is inexcusable. Why have the penalty if you're not going to enforce it and a young man ends up with a concussion?

You guys know how much I hate the targeting penalty but the hit on Pace was textbook targeting as clearly explained in the rules. When the official’s miss a targeting call this obvious a targeting penalty that was not even reviewed by the replay official’s, someone need to be suspended and or fined.
One change I would like to see that relates to the targeting call is to limit the players suspension time to the game where the targeting foul was called. It should not carry over to the next game.

Disagree. They should drop targeting altogether. Football was much better without the call, and there was far less of it. Because you knew if you did it to someone, you’d get it back. Want to get rid of targeting? I say get rid of helmets. That will clear it up real fast!
