Swinney says this group is battle-tested and that they had a unique opportunity to face Georgia, where mistakes piled up against them.
He cites they weren't 34-3 bad against Georgia, with certain plays making the difference.
"We've grown, and they understand games like that are two are three plays away, and they can use that to grow in the postseason."

when you are the 2 time national champion coach everyone wants to take a shot at you. Yes, he promotes his players. What is he supposed to do, say "i wouldn't draft this guy he is overrated". This whole article is laughable. Probably was a bama grad that was butt hurt getting the best team to every step on a football field #### handed to them 44-16. And should have been 51-16 but Dabo was nice.

Its a nearly 2yr old article citing 1 unnamed scout maybe 2, of which there are 100 in the NFL. No one with a brain cell takes it seriously

because those trash organizations have people on staff who are just as much trash as the dumpster they live in.
CDS lives in everyone's mind rent free.... So no other coach speaks highly of his players, sounds to me like a coach who sucks and should not be a coach.

Swinney says the pain of this year, and the SC game, reminded him of the 2016 loss to Pittsburgh, where they felt like it was over for the playoff, and things happened that allowed them to get second life.

Lashlee says that SMU should be in because the committee has ranked them after the regular season as the 8th-best team in the country.
"I don't get how you could punish anybody for that (conference championship appearance.) We did the right thing. We showed up to play Dabo Swinney and Clemson in an ACC Championship game. That's a big deal."
